Since 2002 my focus has mainly been on mobile and user interface design. Mobile was a new platform on the rise and I saw a great opportunity to be involved early signing on with Monkeystone Games. Creating assets for mobile devices is like working on an old PC game title where cutting down memory is a necessity. Mastering palette manipulation is an essential skill in keeping memory down. Knowing how to create art assets that take advantage of the palette is key in mobile. For many handheld devices there isn't a whole lot of memory to work with. In this case, interface design becomes another element in creating a good user experience.
